AZALR CAMPOUT AND PIGROAST
American Legion Post 24 will be the main rally and event location. The tentative
plan is, On the 12th a pig roast dinner will be provided for all registered
attendees. RV, Cabins and tent camping spots have be reserved at Wells Fargo
RV park and Tombstone RV Park & Resort. The cost for the camp-out will be
$25.00 as an “early bird” due no later than April 15th. I will soon have the
registration forms. Cost after April 15th will be $30.00. Cost will include
a shirt, pin and ticket for pig roast dinner.
As we all know ALR are a non-profit organization with limited resources. The more support ALR 24 can provide as volunteers will insure a successful rally for AZALR and Tombstone. We have planned three escorted rides departing from Post 24. One short - less than 100 miles round trip; one medium - 100-150 miles round trip; and one long - more than 150 miles round trip. The long ride will be leaving approximately 9:00am; the medium ride approximately 9:30am, the short ride leaving approximately 10:00am. The idea is to have all arrive back in time for the pig roast and other event things. We need two volunteers per ride to plan and escort the ride. Also need volunteers to control area set aside for bike parking only. I am sure other volunteers will be needed as planning progresses
