Standing rules:
Standing rules outline the procedures of the association with specific details that are not included in the bylaws and that must not conflict with the bylaws. Unlike bylaws which generally never change, Standing Rules can be changed more easily, if a change to the standard operating procedures ( IE: herein referred to as the Standing Rules) is required, the officers will inform the general membership of the need to make such changes, and any subsequent change to the standing rules will be voted upon by the general membership.
In essence Standing Rules are similar to what you would find in a Standard Operating Procedure - They outline the steps necessary to be in compliance with the Bylaws. Standing rules are flexible and may require change based on circumstances. They cannot however circumvent the requirements laid out in the By-Laws. The Bylaws and subsequent standing rules necessary to carry out the By-laws of ALR 24 are currently under review. The ALR President has asked the ALR membership to submit any requests regarding the Standing Rules in writing to him for inclusion to the next meetings Agenda. Once the proposed inclusion to the Standing Rules are voted upon by the ALR membership, they then must be signed by the ALR President and put into action by the ALR Officers.
1. Past Due Registration / Suspension of Membership.
