The Mission Complete (Gold) award program is an ALR 24 Member’s Recognition Award Program. The primary purpose of the program is to serve as a means of encouraging and recognizing service to veteran’s issues, individual veterans, charitable causes, children & community events as well as to the American Legion Roy Fourr Post 24.
A secondary purpose of the program is to help track volunteer statistics that are required to be reported to AZ ALR each year. The statistics required by State are:
To track these statistics, the participation in, and duration of, three qualifying types of events will be recorded:
Members will be awarded a black and gold Mission Complete patch that can be worn on their vest once 100 qualifying volunteer hours are completed. Following award of the Mission Complete patch, members will be awarded stars that may be added to the patch signifying qualifying hours donated. Silver stars represent 250 hours of service. Gold stars represent 1000 hours of service.
A member who earned a back and white patch under the legacy Mission Complete program may wear that patch, along with earned stars, on the same vest as the black and gold patch.
Details of the Mission Complete (Gold) program, including member and administrator responsibilities can be found in the Mission Complete Gold Criteria document.
